I first met Michael after my first even INXS show, which was at Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide, Australia, in April 1984. I was 15/16 years old. After the show, we went to the stage door and waited in the light rain for the boys to leave, I think we waited an hour. I was leaning up against the door, and suddenly it opened. And out came Jon, Garry and Tim, we got their autographs, and unfortunately i didnt get any photos with them as film had run out. Then Kirk, Andrew and Michael appeared. Michael was dressed in tight black jeans and a fresh shirt, and his long dark curly hair was gorgeous. He was in a fantastic mood, and slightly intoxicated. (As im writting this minute, Just keep Walking has come on the Radio, thanks Michael). Anyway I asked Michael for an Autograph and he said sure, how did you enjoy the show?, it was hard for the words to come out, but I said that I did and it was fantastic. I walked with Michael and Andrew to the Van as Michael was signing my Autograph book (which i still have). We said goodbye and then went and met the support band, The Eurogliders, who at that time were just hitting the australian charts.
The Next time I met Michael and INXS was January 1st 1985, they were playing Football Park in Adelaide to open the International year of the Youth. My friends and I went to the Airport to meet them, they were flying in from melbourne. The First plane arrived, but it had The Models on it, so we got their autographs. Then waited half hour for the next plane and this one had INXS on it. Michael was the first to walk through the doors to the Baggage Section, he was with his Girlfriend, Michelle Bennett. Michael was in Black and had his cowboy hat on. He looked gorgeous . I was too afraid to approach him, because he was with Michelle and didnt want to bug him. The guys had to wait for their luggage for a while, so took seats. So then we went up and got albums signed. I finally went up to Michael and he signed INXSIVE for me. Once again I didnt get a photo with him. As I felt I was intruding I guess. How silly i was to miss that chance. But I have the memory of those moments still with me. I did get a photo with Kirk though.
Michael has brought me together with so many interesting and lovely people over the last 5 years or so. Because of my love for him and for INXS, I came up with the idea for a FanClub meeting in Sydney to celebrate his life on his 10th anniversary of his passing and that of INXS's 30th Anniversary. I will never forget that amazing weekend. Visiting Michaels memorial and sharing very touching moments with those that were there. And Im sure Michael was there too. Because that morning in Sydney it was rainy and overcast and my friend Helen and I prayed to Michael to bring out the sun for our visit to the Memorial Gardens. And he did, the sun shone , warm and bright that afternoon, and then when we left, the dark clouds returned.... he was there, and still is with us.
thankyou Michael for you gave and still do.

I REALLY wish that I had something to add to this topic! Unfortunately, I never met Michael and didn't even get to see a live performance. Thank goodness for CD's, DVD's and the internet!

Me neither Jen...
I would have gotten a chance to in '97 when INXS were due to have an interview at my sister's radio station here in Australia that she used to worked in a matter of days after he died.
As a little girl who grew up loving Michael and INXS I was thrilled at the thought that my sister would bring me along! But unfortunately it wasn't to be..

I never met Michael, in person. Saw him perform numerous times, but never got to say a word of gratitude to him. A bit regret of my life.
