Can you shed any light on this topic for me;
It's obvious that the 2 tracks have the same hook, but can you confirm the background/story why?
Also, the fact that the hook is so obvious, shouldn't a credit have gone to INXS (maybe Andrew)? Furthermore, was the hook applied while Michael was still alive?
This whole topic may be one that's been covered before, but I don't know/can't find anything discussing it.

Never heard anyone say that before about Slide Away...don't think it sounds like Stay Young myself. INXS or AF had nothing to do with MH's solo album.

I think that there's no escaping they sound melodically the same. Listen to the following at e.g. 0:50 to 1:03 or 2:28 to 2:42, and then the chorus melody for Slide Away.
You could do a great mash-up mix if you were dj-inclined :-)

I've always thought this too that they have a similar sound too Jim. You're definitely not the only one. Must just be a coincidental accident lol.
