Michael's memorial was set up my Michael's late father Kell, and was opened on the first anniversary of MH's passing in 1998.
In the years since thousands of fans from all over the world have visited the site to remember MH.
Set in quiet gardens in Sydney it's a good place to reflect and remember one of the greatest frontman ever to walk this planet.

I have been going to the MH's Memorial for the last few years, and it is very peacefull/ emotional.
I try and go for his B'day and anniversary.

The Following Photos are from the visit Fan Club members from INXS.com made to Michaels Memorial for his 10th anniversary , Jan 2007. Members came from all over Australia and one even made the trek from New Zealand. We even got to meet Susie Hutchence, who is a wonderful lady. It was a very emotional day for us all. We gathered around Michaels memorial and said a special Thankyou Prayer (written by Helen Coburn) and sang "Shine like it Does". It was raining in Sydney that morning, and we asked Michael to bring out the sun for our visit , by midday the clouds parted, by 3pm the time of our visit, the sun was shining brightly... just like Michael always did.

Thanks for sharing these. Poor Mr. Hutchence looks so sad. He was awfully generous to come and spend time with the fans. It's a beautiful tribute to Michael and on my list of places to visit.
Hope you both make it there oneday to visit. Yes Kell was always great with MH's friends and fans, we all miss him very much!

A long time INXS friend of mine Mary Woods from USA made this for me as a Xmas present in 1998 to commemorate the opening of the MH memorial...
The bags attached to it contain...A pebble from the foot of the memorial with ferns, red flower pedals, and yellow baby orchids from the flower arrangement given by INXS for the chapel service.
The other bag has sand and shells from the private secluded beach at Rose Bay near where MH's ashes were scattered on his birthday in 1998...
Wow! What a great friend! It's beautiful. You must treasure it.
