I'm glad someone appreciated this grossly under-appreciated record. INXS as a whole were rather dismissive of the whole thing...particularly of Ollie Olsen who I think is a freakin genius. Me thinks they were threatened by it. But, I thought this record was fantastic. Ollie and Michael were visionaries. I'd like it to have another go-round. I sure as hell hoped that Michael and Ollie would do something else together. Michael could have done anything. His solo record should have been a beginning and not an epitaph. But, I'm preaching to the choir on that one, aren't I?
I really love this album. It's like a precious gem. Definitely ahead of its time. Hard to believe it's 21 years old. I really wish they had recorded more music together. I'd love to hear what else they could have come up with if given the opportunity. Always a big sigh when I think about what could have been.
LOL at your 'preaching to the choir' Heather! Very true! I agree with what you and Jen had to say!
