I'm guessing the recent cd sales in Oz don't reflect true sales anymore, and the itunes downloads are the genuine yard-stick?

Hey Jim,
The ARIA charts in Oz do reflect the true chart position. It combines digital sales and cd sales together.
When INXS Platinum was no.1 on iTunes only a couple of months ago, the cd wasn't released at the same time, so then only digital sales were included...so the highest position INXS Platinum has been is #21 on the proper album chart in Australia.
Last week INXS Platinum sold 768 copies on cd and 171 on iTunes so the total figure of 939 is what is used for it's position on the proper Australian album chart.
