It's a tie between Way of the World and Monday Night by Satellite.

Hard to pick just one song from such a strong album! No wonder it won 13 RollingStone Magazine Awards in 1990!
My favourites have changed over the years. When it first was released I loved 'Way Of The World' which ofcourse made the top 10 in Australia.
I have never heard any fan ever say they don't like that song! That is the truth...in over 20 years never heard anyone say a bad word about that song.
I think it's MH's singing style as on his solo projects he sings completely different to the way he did on INXS records. He has this energy and more passion and feeling. The aggressive singing on Way Of The World and the power in MH's voice is what makes the song.
I remember back in 1990 I also liked the Max Q track Tight. These days I really love Ghost Of The Year and Monday Night By Satellite.
I remember I was at one of INXS's ex-managers Gary Grant's house years back and he said they should have released the Ghost Of The Year (Todd Terry Mix) when MH died.

The song 'Concrete' is also a top track. I love when a breaks into the "you can say what you want...fascination won't change my mind"...
Here's a fact you may not know. Concrete was actually planned as the 4th single from the Max Q album. But Monday Night By Satellite hadn't done well in the charts. And by that time in 1990...MH was back with INXS in the studio to record the X album.
But there was talk of since MH wasnt there to be able to film another Max Q video clip, that the clip for Concrete would be all animation like a cartoon.
At the time cartoons in clips were popular like Paula Abdul's Opposites Attract. Paula Abdul was actually a friend of MH's. She choreographed the dance moves in INXS's Devil Inside clip filmed at Balboa Beach in California.
So the plan was to make Concrete an animated cartoon clip. It's worth nothing Jeff Jaffers did an amazing job with animation on the Monday Night By Satellite clip.

I love Concrete also, that was my favourite for years... Although my preferences have changed as they do through the years.

it would have to be a toss up between Way of the World or Sometimes!! I love the whole album still listen to it regularly. I would love to see it remastered!!

To be honest, Sometimes sounds the best NOW, and wouldn't sound out of place in today's music scene. The rest of the album, IMHO, has dated. Pretty please, do not flame me :-)
