Hello Matt,
What is your top 10 of desirable INXS – records (dekadance, French record of simple simon, ...) ?
Greets,
Tom
Hey Tom... without mentioning rare test pressings, acetates etc...the top 10 most collectable INXS records /cds would be...
1. Merry Christmas Australian Fan Club 7"
2. Simple Simon French 7"
3. Dekadance 12" Australian Promo
4. Underneath The Colours New Zealand 7"
5. Dancing On The Jetty 12" Australian Promo
6. Excepts Of Living INXS 12" Australian Promo
7. Very Best Of INXS (1983-84) & What You Need Best Of INXS (1983 - 86) Japanese Promos 12"
8. Just Keep Walking UK 7"
9. Searching 3 x Withdrawn UK CD singles
10. Don't Lose Your Head Withdrawn UK promo single
Like these days it's different than back in the 80's / early 90's when INXS items sold for a lot more money. There is many other items which are desirable like all 6 Dekadance cassettes or things like Make Your Peace Mexican cd which there is very few of. Night Of Rebellion 7" is also pretty rare as well...
If you have any questions about any INXS or MH items just ask me here in the forum.
Cheers!
Hello Matt,
Thank you for answering!
The records "Merry Christmas Australian Fan Club 7" and "Dekadance 12" Australian Promo" were recently sold on ebay for each +/- 400,- US Dollars.
Till now I never saw the record "Underneath The Colours New Zealand 7". I think that record is very hard to find like the records "Merry Christmas" and "Dekadance 12""
Greets,
Tom
Yeah an INXS Christmas single recently sold on eBay for $565...back in the late 80's / early 90's I saw a couple sell for over $1000.
The New Zealand 'Underneath The Colours' 7" was only released by Deluxe Records when INXS toured New Zealand supporting Cold Chisel in early 1982. The version of Underneath The Colours is different than the album version as the guitar solo in the middle is shorter, so the single was more suitable for radio play. The b-side is Prehistoria the same as Night Of Rebellion 7" in Australia.
Hello Matt,
Do you know the reference of the "Don't Lose Your Head Withdrawn UK promo single"?
Greets,
Tom
Hey Tom - UK Promo cd single catalogue reference number is INXCJ 31.
It says here fewer than 50 copies exist...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don't_Lose_Your_Head_(INXS_song)
"Don’t Lose Your Head" was pressed as UK promo single but, upon Hutchence's death, it was immediately withdrawn. Around 500 copies were originally pressed but destroyed almost instantly. Although the single did appear commercially in other territories such as Japan, its purpose for the UK market was primarily as a marketing tool for the Face Off movie. Again the single continued with the band's unique UK catalogue numbering system and received the number INXCJ31. What with so few copies being pressed in the first place followed by the stock’s destruction, an extremely low quantity – estimated to be lower than 50! – actually escaped the burner, thus making this possibly the rarest INXS pressing around.
Apart from the catalogue number the cd is pretty much the same as other DLYH singles. The UK promo has only 2 tracks:
DLYH (radio mix)
DLYH (leadstation solid gold mix)
If you want anymore info let me know and I'll scan my own cd...
Hallo Matt,
Thanks for the information!
If it is no much work, you can scan the CD so I have an idea what the CD looks like.
Greets,
Tom

Thank you, Matt!
Greetings Tom

Includes mixes from the Swing as spoken about above. XS-4 cat code. I am looking to get rid of, hopefully to a true fan! Is there a way that people can get In contact with me to discuss ?? Not sure how all this works.
