Pitchfork: You produced this album, and you've produced a huge amount of albums over the years. Do you have a favorite non-Gang of Four album that you've produced?
AG: There's a record that for many reasons is hugely important to me, and that's the record that I wrote with Michael Hutchence [1999's Michael Hutchence]. I was never the world's biggest fan of INXS, but I was a big fan of him. I always thought he had a fantastic voice and was a great performer, and it was great to make that record with him. We became very good friends. It was a terrible loss when he died. I had to finish that record after he died, obviously, which was very weird and strange. I'm glad that it's a good monument to what he was.
